Providing we have SNOW.
We are writing to tell you how much we enjoyed our first club outing. We are new and just joined this year. We
decided to come up and ride on your February 21 mystery ride. What a joy it was. The first person we met was
Dave Hohendorf and his Daughter Malinda. What nice people they both made us feel very welcome. As we
started our ride we met up with some other members, The Lunds, Zillich's, Maureen and her husband Bob and
friend Jim, Gene and Bud Longroy. All of these people were so nice to us and made us feel welcome right from
the start. Dave led this ride and took us to places we never knew existed, but what wonderful riding and
scenery. The trails were awesome, we saw lots of deer too. Dave almost saw one up close and personal, that
was a sight. We stopped at the warming station and had a short rest and on we went. We ended up in Mio, what
a ride. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I wasn't sure if Jim Z didn't want us there or he didn't like me
following him. You see he kept throwing wood at me that he was carrying to the warming station, what a great
laugh we had about that. We are hoping to attend your next mystery ride and hope to have as much fun again.
Thank you all for a GREAT time and for welcoming into the club. We hope to become more involved and meet
more people like these guys . Dave H. Was a great leader, I think he just might have found his calling. For all
that didn't attend you missed a great ride and a lot of fun. Thanks again to all of you.

The following note from a NEW MEMBER was sent in to the Newsletter...Feb 26th..re Feb 21 Ride
Please note: Pics from the "Snow Runs" are in Album 2 in the Picture section of the web site...
The weather was perfect for Snowpacker's February 21st Snowrun. Dave Hohendorf was the leader for this
run and 13 riders participated including several new members. The ride went about 125 miles, going to
McKinley and Mio where the 2-strokes gassed up. The group had some beautiful views of the frozen Au-Sable
and saw a number of deer along the way, including one Dave saw up close and personal as it almost hit him.
Jim Z hazed the new members by dropping firewood being carried to the warming shed along the trail and
after the run Dora F provided a welcome meal of hot chili, hotdogs and banana-chocolate cake. Everyone
had a great time!
